AC से पानी टपकने का मुख्य कारण ड्रेन पाइप (drain pipe) का ब्लॉक होना या फिल्टर में गंदगी जमा होना है। समय पर AC सर्विस कराने से यह समस्या ठीक हो जाती है।
AC की कूलिंग कम होने के कई कारण हो सकते हैं, जैसे कि एयर फिल्टर ब्लॉक होना, गैस (Refrigerant) कम होना, या कंप्रेसर में खराबी।
गैस कम होने या इवैपोरेटर कॉइल (evaporator coil) गंदी होने पर AC में बर्फ जम सकती है। इसके लिए तुरंत टेक्नीशियन से चेक कराना चाहिए।
ब्लोअर मोटर (blower motor) में गंदगी, लूज पार्ट्स, या कंप्रेसर की समस्या के कारण AC से अजीब आवाजें आ सकती हैं।
आमतौर पर AC गैस तभी भरवानी चाहिए जब लीकेज हो। अगर AC कूलिंग नहीं कर रहा है तो टेक्नीशियन से प्रेशर चेक करवाएं।
गर्मियों का सीजन शुरू होने से पहले (साल में कम से कम 2 बार) AC की सर्विस (wet servicing) जरूर करवानी चाहिए।
स्प्लिट AC की क्लीनिंग में इनडोर यूनिट के फिल्टर और कॉइल को जेट पंप से साफ किया जाता है, और आउटडोर यूनिट की भी डीप क्लीनिंग होती है।
अगर AC बिल्कुल कूलिंग नहीं कर रहा, बाहर की यूनिट से बहुत तेज आवाज आ रही है, या बार-बार ट्रिप कर रहा है, तो ये कंप्रेसर खराब होने के संकेत हैं।
AC चालू न होना, डिस्प्ले में एरर कोड (Error Code) दिखना, या रिमोट काम न करना PCB (Printed Circuit Board) खराब होने के लक्षण हो सकते हैं।
अगर AC की सर्विस नहीं हुई है तो कंप्रेसर पर ज्यादा लोड पड़ता है, जिससे बिजली का बिल ज्यादा आता है। नियमित सर्विस से बिल कम होता है।
